Crumbs

Kimberlee raises some really good points in her comments on the below. Thanks friend, for sharing your thoughts!

I know there will always be friends of the crumbs. You get a little when you can, enjoy the company, laugh a little. And you're grateful for running into them every time. They make you happy. But if you try to live only on crumbs you will starve. Or try to supplement with food, shopping, too much exercise, mind-numbing doses of entertainment. We all do this at moments. We all probably need to.

But what is more wonderful to celebrate than friends who give us big heaping spoonfuls of their everyday lives, their minds, their love? I'm learning one of the most valuable ways to elevate my countenance is to envision loving faces of friends and say, "I belong to..." I will always enjoy the crumb givers, but it's the friends who offer heaping spoonfuls of relationship that give me life.
